Swimming!

I took Luke to a cute little splash park/pool called Noah's Ark. We met the Cole clan there along with Autumn and her boys. Luke did so great! He had not had a morning nap but all of the water excitement seemed to allow him to forget how tired her was. His face is looking so great these days. I need to get as many pictures as I can before the blisters start popping up again. I wish I would have wiped the lunch off of his face before taking the pics!

As for a mini update...he is still eating mostly baby food; however, I give him finger food at each meal to "practice" with. He does great with puffs and Goldfish Grahams (these are new and super yummy vanilla flavored ). He loves regular baby Goldfish but has been choking a lot lately on these...weird. He gagged and completely threw up in the grocery store the other day after choking on a teeny little fish! yuck! This is the second time he has done that in a store. Fun stuff. Still no big news in the physical department. He WANTS to crawl but gives up after every attempt. We have been really working with him. Greg will let him cry trying to get him to work through his frustration...it is SO sad. I immediately want to scoop him up! He sat up all by himself in his crib the other night (see pics). Here is the story for those who haven't heard...I put him to bed like normal. After about 10 minutes or so he started whining and then crying. I didn't go look at the monitor because I assumed he was just having a tough time falling asleep. Finally Greg went to look and said "umm babe, Luke is sitting up!" WHAT?! I grabbed the camera to snap a pic of his big accomplishment! It was so funny. I think he was crying because he didn't know how to lay back down by himself. For the record...he has not done this since. Oh well, at least I have proof that he CAN do it! Like I said before...any progress is good around here! Yay Luke! We are so proud of you!

We do have news in the VERBAL department! He now says some sounds! Yippee! He says Da, Buh, and Guh! I am working on the Mama. :) Any sound is music to our ears. We love to hear him 'talk!'

Enjoy!

  1. What a cutie! Love the pics in the pool, he looks like he was having so much fun! I'm sure he'll be crawling and talking and eating solid food before you know it.
