Showers etc.!

Sorry it has been a while. I was hoping to have given my blog a facelift before any new posts, but I am horrible at this technical stuff and realize I need an in home lesson! Next time it will look better hopefully. I feel like I have been super busy these past few weeks. I have gone to two showers for Lindsay, or should I say for James Thomas! I have a few pics below of the first one that was hosted at our good friend Autumn's house. I forgot my camera for the second one. James Thomas is definitely not going to go without! It was so fun to be a part of it all and see all of the fun stuff babies need! This weekend, me along with a few other dear friends, are throwing another shower for Lindsay and James at my house. Stay tuned for those pics!

Also, Greg and I (well, mostly Greg) have been doing a little landscaping. Greg has such a knack for yard work and a great visual of what looks good. He has spent the last couple of weekends along with evenings after work making the yard look pretty. We haven't taken pics yet but will soon. There are a couple of pics of my portion of the planting...the little yellow flowers by the front door! That was hard work!

Lastly, we celebrated Greg's birthday last Thursday. I am sad to say I forgot my camera again. He didn't want to make a fuss over his birthday so just us and the Garretts went to dinner at Benihana's and then came home for some lime cheesecake that I whipped up earlier that day...with homemade whipped cream and strawberries! YUMMY!

wonderful friend! such a blessing to share this time together...Luke and James Thomas have no choice in who their bestie is going to be :)

20 week post

Yesterday Greg and I went in for our 20 week ultrasound. It was so fun to get to see Luke, but he was NOT very cooperative! We have been so spoiled getting all of those early ultrasounds where we could see his whole body in one shot! He is now too big for that plus he was pushed up against my placenta (gross, sorry) which means all of the fluid is not evenly dispersed. Apparently to get a great look at all of his parts, there needs to be adequate fluid all around him. He would not move around much and kept putting his hand and arm over his face! I guess he was being camera shy. We did, however, get to see him in 4-D. I understood what I was looking at better and got a good look at his little face and cheeks! Dr. S said he is growing right on schedule and looks healthy! I feel him move so much and thank God every time. :-)

Overall it was a great appointment with great stats for Luke and me! We feel so blessed to have been given this little life to take care of and that he is healthy! Thank you Jesus!

I know..still no belly shot. I'm just not sure how I feel about it. I love looking at other prego mommies but still feel a little uneasy about putting up pics of myself. Maybe soon!

Easter 2009

This year for Easter we decided to stay in Houston and attend the Second Baptist Easter service. If any of you Houstonians are looking for a church to visit, come to Second! Greg and I have really come to love it along with our Sunday school class. Since we are recent members, we wanted to see what Easter Sunday is like and it was great!

Next on the agenda was lunch! Our good friends Autumn and Josh invited us over along with the Garretts and Autumn's mom and dad. The meal was delicious! We are so blessed to have wonderful friends near by especially since our families live away. It will be fun to have a little one of our own to celebrate Easter with next year!

Elizabeth Ann Cole

Our dear friends Matt and Julie Cole welcomed their third baby (second girl) into the world Monday March 30, 2009. She is beautiful! Julie is doing great and feeling pretty good already! She is a pro at this! Mandi and I went to meet little Elizabeth on Tuesday afternoon. Just holding her makes me even more excited to meet Luke!
