Luke is doing great these days. He is completely well for the moment! He eats great, sleeps great, and heals great when there are no "bugs" in his little body! I also forgot to document that so far the teething has gone great. His gums did not blister at all when he cut his 2 bottom teeth. His tongue blistered a little from him rubbing it on his new teeth...but didn't seem to bother him too much. He has really fallen in love with his crib. There is no doubt where this boy came from. He loves him some sleep just like his mama! He always wants naps...one in the morning and one in the afternoon but on no time schedule. It is so cute when I put him down...he has a favorite bunny that he holds and nuzzles against his face. He grabs it the second he goes in the crib and starts smiling. Now I know this loving his crib and sleep sounds great, and most of the time it is wonderful BUT he has given up car seat/stroller naps! Occasionally he will doze in the car but never for very long! This makes running errands, road trips, and shopping a little harder. I guess he thinks he is too old for those! :) He is finally completely sitting up on his own. I never thought this day would come! He is much happier especially at the grocery store being able to sit up in the cart. He is still not able to eat anything "chunky." The slightest chunk and he gags and up comes everything. I know he is still young so hopefully his swallowing capability will improve over the next few months. His hair is growing out of control! It is kinda straight in spots and wavy in others. He has been called a girl so many times in the last week. I don't see it. I just don't. He usually always has on blue or something with his name on it!!
We seem to stay busy so much. We just got back from Longview visiting my parents for Mother's day and my sister's birthday. It is always good to see family! Luke did great most of the trip. I am so thankful to be Luke's mama. I love that little boy more than anything and he has blessed us with more joy than I knew existed. He is wonderful in every way and I am forever thankful that God chose me to raise him and care for him. I would do anything for him.
Here are some pics from our busy days...note the feet picture. I am not kidding when I say that a few weeks ago one of them looked TERRIBLE and borderline infected. He always has problems with his feet and this is the first time since birth that they look almost normal. We are celebrating by going sock and dressing free until they start blistering again. I love bare baby feet so much and love to see his...especially now that it is HOT outside!

sweet James Thomas getting so big!

he held the sippy cup all by himself...only once though

loves his auntie

I love this picture...the butterfly is a symbol of EB. The skin is as fragile as a butterfly wing. So sweet.

our happy boy!
OMG!!!! his feet look great. I tell you what Ethan's feet are the worst part of his body. That is so good that he is eating too. Ethan never really ate good and that is why he now has he g-tube. Glad to hear that Luke is doing soo. He looks great. I tell you what though it is crazy seeing his wound by his mouth I always got that every spring when I was younger. Ethan gets that in the exact same spot too, he actually has it right now too.

Hi! Here from Jonah's blog and wanted to say hey. Luke is such a cutie! We have a baby girl, born Sept 14 of last year, so it was fun to read about all the stuff Luke is up to. They are such busy babies :-)
