Staycation!

Last week was perfect. Greg took a few days off work to stay home and play with Luke and I. I have decided that I might possibly like vacationing from home better than away....especially with a little one.

The vacation started on Tuesday...a school day for Luke. We dropped Luke off at school together (a fun little treat) and ran a few errands. This is going to sound silly, but I enjoy errands so much more when Greg comes along. He came to my eye doctor appointment with me and helped me pick out new glasses. We grabbed a bite to eat then headed to Starbucks for an hour of relaxing and reading before picking up Luke. It was a great "day date" day.

Wednesday, the three of us enjoyed a yummy lunch at Sam's then headed to the zoo for the afternoon. The weather was perfect. Luke had so much fun with daddy being there! ( for those who don't know, Luke is IN LOVE with elephants...we got to watch a little elephant show where the trainer was having one of the elephants do tricks. He was so happy. He also chose the 'elephant' to ride on the carousel)

dancing!

Thursday morning I hosted Bible study at our house while Greg took Luke to school and did a little golfing. After we got Luke, we enjoyed a cookie and cupcake from our favorite bakery then headed home for dinner.

Friday, Luke and I headed to Dallas to help shower baby Sutton for the weekend. (shower post coming soon) Greg headed to San Antonio to visit Kelsey. We were sad to leave each other for the weekend but thankful for a great, relaxing week together!
