Luke went in for his 6 month check up earlier this month. Dr. J was impressed with his growth. Here are his stats:
HEIGHT - 90%
WEIGHT - 75%
HEAD - 75%
He is eating baby food these days. The veggies are starting to grow on him a little. He mostly likes fruits and the oatmeal/fruit/grain combinations. I'm sure this is common with lots of babies; however, I read that EB children typically like sweet tasting foods over savory.
As far as his motor skills go...well...not much to brag about. He still rolls around and WANTS to sit up...so close but so far to go! He loves to jump in his doorway jumper. It is sad but cute to watch...he only jumps on one foot and usually on the side of his foot! I am guessing it is because of the blisters but he doesn't act like anything hurts.
He is starting to cut his first 2 teeth on the bottom. I wish they would hurry up...I can tell they hurt him! So far his gums have not blistered but his tongue has from rubbing it on the tiny teeth poking through. We are still praying that he does okay with the teething process!
Last Thursday night I went to a girl's night out at the church. There was a hilarious comedian and Mandisa performed. Greg was on Luke duty while I enjoyed the evening with great friends and fellowship! It was such a refreshing night!
This past weekend was high paced fun. The Heersinks came in town for the Baylor basketball games. It was one big slumber party with the Garrett family and Heersinks sleeping over here! Luke loved having his bestie spend the night for the first time!
Today we went to the zoo! We have had some beautiful weather here in Houston for the past few weeks and what a better way to enjoy it than spending the morning at the zoo!
Ok, gotta run...baby screaming! :)

Love his "Ready for Adventure" zoo t-shirt...too cute! He is getting so big!
